Let's set up pie hole on Windows. First, open command prompt and run this command. Once the install is complete, reboot your computer. Next, run the WSL app we just installed and create a user. Next, we need to install Docker for desktop. We can install it directly from Docker's website. Once the install is complete, reboot your computer. One last time. Let's open the docker desktop app and once we get to the main screen type in pie hole in the search bar. We're going to choose the first option that appears in click pull. Then we will go to images to verify our image was pulled successfully. We will then click the run button. Here I will just enter the default ports. For the host path, I will create a folder in my documents directory called Pihole and use that. Click run. Once it's finished, you'll want to scroll up and save the password that was generated. Save this to your clipboard. Open a browser window and in the search bar, enter your computer's IP and add forward/admin to the end. Paste in the password we copied from earlier and we're done. We can now either set our router DNS to this IP or we can assign this IP as our DNS to our devices individually.
