POV: you want coffee shop coffee but your pantry is a little crunchy. ☕️🤎 So I made my own refined sugar free salted caramel coffee syrup and honestly… I might like it better than store bought. Simple ingredients. No refined sugar. Tastes like a fancy latte at home. — Homemade naturally sweetened salted caramel syrup Makes about 1½ cups Ingredients * ¾ cup pure maple syrup * ¼ cup maple sugar * 2 tbsp unsalted butter * ¼ cup heavy cream * 1 tsp vanilla extract * ½ tsp fine sea salt * Optional: tiny pinch of flaky sea salt for extra salted caramel flavor Instructions 1. Add the maple syrup and maple sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat. 2. Stir until the maple sugar dissolves. 3. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly darkened and fragrant. 4. Remove from heat and whisk in the butter until melted. 5. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream. 6. Stir in the vanilla and sea salt. 7. Let cool completely. It will thicken as it cools. For Coffee * Hot coffee: 1–2 tbsp * Iced coffee: 2–3 tbsp * Homemade latte: 2 tbsp syrup + espresso + milk * Cold foam: 1 tbsp syrup mixed into your vanilla whip topping Storage Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. — #refinedsugarfree #coffeeathome #saltedcaramel #homemadecoffee #fromscratch
