I had 4 kids in 5 years. Here are my credentials. From a mom of 4: these items are actually worth the $$$. And this is coming from a mom of 4 who thinks she knows. Even though I'm still learning. Everything. Number one is a great carrier. Listen to me, the first time that I made dinner by myself, all my child took a nap on my chest, the carrier paid for itself. Grocery trips, travel, airplane rides, walking, whatever, a good carrier is the best because your baby wants to be held and life doesn't stop. I recommend this one. I wish I would have bought this one with my first child. I got this one on my third child and it was worth the splurge. Next is a good stroller. You will use this thing for years, not for months. And if you want more than one child, get one that can have add-on seats. We use this one. It is my favorite thing. We take it everywhere. This thing has logged as many miles as my car. Every single day, I have four kids, four of them, and I use this stroller. I love it. Spend the extra money, it's worth it because you're going to use it. Of course, you're going to use it. Next is the Owlet. And this is a controversial one and I don't care. This thing was not just for safe sleep for the baby, it was for safe sleep for me. With my first, I didn't think I was going to be somebody who uses the Owlet. I thought it would give me stress. And then I didn't sleep for the first two weeks of his life. This thing saved my sanity. So, controversial or not, the Owlet is worth the money, at least for my own sleep. I had terrible postpartum anxiety. This didn't cure it, but it super, super helped. I've used it on all four of my kids, each to their own, you know? But it was worth it to me. And finally is a sound machine. Yes. Splurge the money and get the Hatch. This is one of the only baby products that we use with our kids years later. My first grader, my first born, still uses it for toddler routines, for babies, for all the things. The Hatch is perfect. It's a night light, it's a sound machine, it can help with alarm clocks, it can help learn how to tell time. I love the Hatch. You might not have even heard of this one, but this one that I buy from Amazon is always with me. It is gentle and safe enough to use on your own face and on little baby skin. It kills everything, including the stomach flu, which I am terrified of. Hypochlorous acid. Get on it. And finally is a water bottle that you will actually use and that you actually enjoy using. You will spend countless hours feeding a baby, forget to feed yourself, forget to hydrate yourself. So, get a water bottle that gives you a little bit of joy to use, fill it up, actually drink out of it, spend a little bit of extra money on a water bottle that you're going to love and bring with you everywhere. And have with you all the time. These are just a few things that I personally love. But I promise you, every mom that you know has a product that they would choose to never go without.
