This is $130 of meat that I bought from Costco. Let's see how many portions we can get out of it. Spoiler alert: it's a lot. This was $75. It was $5 off each package of chicken breasts. $34 for two tubes of ground turkey, $21 for this tube of pork. Let's see what we can get from this. We're gonna start with the chicken. And remember guys, if you marinate your meat first and then freeze it, the salt in your marinades actually helps to prevent the meat from freezer burn and then the flavors just penetrate the flesh more. So I prepared this five spice soy garlic marinade recipe in the description. And we're gonna marinate a bunch of these breasts. So that's eight chicken breasts. I'm gonna do one entire pack. So that's eight chicken breasts. Then we're gonna package them up. Does anybody have a good recommendation for like reusable storage bags or like a reusable storage system for freezing? Because I still use these and I'm just trying to cut down on plastic. When you freeze your meat, try to squeeze out as much air as you can, you kind of want it like almost vacuum sealed because that'll help with the freezing as well. If you've got extra sauce, just pour it into the bags. So, soy garlic chicken done. Next package. For this batch, I'm gonna use some pre-mix seasoning, starting with some garlic plus, a bunch of garlic and different herbs. Smells really good. We're also gonna add in some dried thyme, some olive oil, and fresh lime juice. I'm currently staying in corporate housing, so I don't have everything I normally have at my home kitchen. So we're just kind of using what we have here. Mix this all up. Then go the chicken breast. This pack only had seven. With the Asian soy marinade, I like to eat it with rice and noodles, but with ones like this, I like to eat it with bread and put like, slice it and put it on salads. So doing this gives you an option of what to make too for dinner. Let's pack them up. These breasts are definitely a bit bigger. I'm packing this up for two people. So kind of like one breast per person per meal. So, garlic lemon pepper breast done. And for the last pack, we're not gonna marinate it. That gives me the freedom to make whatever recipe I can with them when they defrost. So, unseasoned breast done. 18 portions ground turkey, 16 portions ground pork, 22 chicken breasts. For a total of 56 portions of protein for $130. That's like a bit less than $3 per portion. Isn't that crazy?
