I don't get why rich people love Europe in the Summer

If no one else is going to say it I am going to say it. I have no idea why rich people are so obsessed with spending the summer in Europe. I've worked in venture capital for the last six years and I've been to over 20 countries now. I think Europe is nice. I think Europe is even nicer when you have a lot of money and you can spend it. Honestly, I think I would just get super bored there if I was spending the entire summer there. It's a running joke that every venture capital firm and every family office spends their summers in Europe and it's because honestly it's kind of true. But for me when I'm looking at a vacation for somewhere to go over the summer, yes nice beaches are important. I can get that in South America. I can get great beaches in Asia. I can also get better food, better prices and less touristy where you're less likely to run into people you don't want to see. I'm not saying Europe isn't nice look. I went to a friend's wedding last summer and it was wonderful. It was gorgeous. But also I had an issue with my rental car and I couldn't get it fixed because everything closes at three PM to four PM for some reason. I also had a wonderful weekend in Bordeaux a couple of years ago, but again it was a wonderful weekend and I would not have wanted to spend more than a couple of days there. I get the relaxation. I get why people like it. I think the weather is probably nicer. But there's also no air conditioning.
