Stairway Transformation PART 5

Remember the stair carpet company that kept ghosting us? Well I finally have an update. Let me explain. Two and a half years ago we had this carpet fitted in our loft conversion. And we ordered this extra bit for our stairs. But we didn't want to fit it yet because we had a lot of messy work to do. The original company agreed to fit it for us and told us to ring back when we were ready. So in the meantime we plastered, panelled and painted the space. And fast forward two and a half years. Getting this company to even turn up to measure for the carpet was a challenge in itself. It took four attempts. So I waited in the house on three separate occasions expecting them to come and they never turned up. On the fourth attempt, they actually turned up. In fact, they actually turned up an hour and a half earlier than they said they would come. I literally only just got back from the gym. And after all of that, the carpet is finally fitted. They charged us an extra 100 pounds for the fitment. Which to be fair, I do think is reasonable, considering it's been two years since I last contacted them. But honestly, after everything that's happened, I'm so relieved to see this carpet saga is finally done. Would you have given up by this point or would you've kept chasing them? All that's left to do is for me to find a good quality gloss paint. So let me know if you have any recommendations. I'm so glad this stairway carpet saga is finally done.
