Bring back dancing to Dance Music. I’ve spent nearly 30 years DJing. House Music clubs. Dance Music festivals. Ibiza. Radio. Tiny bars. Massive stages. I think I know ball. Here’s my hottest Dance Music take: The DJ shouldn’t be the main event, the music that the DJ is playing should be. Somewhere along the way, we stopped losing ourselves in the music and started worrying about who was watching. I couldn’t care less when people film a moment. Trying to film an entire DJ set? That’s what the videographers are for. The thing I miss most from club culture is seeing people dance like nobody’s watching. Throw questionable shapes! Miss every beat!
