After five years of working a corporate job, you know what I realised? The thing I, I hated the most was not the crappy boss. It was not the P.T.O. Policies, not the low pay, not the, the time of the day that I had to go to the office. It was none of the things that I complained about all the time. What I realised is that all I wanted was my freedom, in a sense, um, and to live a life that I felt like was filled with more purpose. And no job that I worked out of school gave that to me. None of them. Because I was doing work that was deeply, deeply unsatisfying. Right? But from the outside, to a lot of people, damn, you're working a great corporate job. Like, wow, I'd kill to have that position. You know, you have such great job security. You're so lucky. That's what people like. That's what it looks like on the outside. And I was like, I'm deeply unsatisfied here. I. No, I post my LinkedIn. It's like, congratulations, I just took a, a new job, and I'm, I got promoted, whatever I got. And I'd get comments like, congratulations, and I'd like, I'm like, no, I don't wanna do this. That's a lot of people, bro. What I've realised from people talking to me and messaging me through the content I've been posting, like, if you're deeply unsatisfied with your job, and what you do on a day to day basis, it is your duty to go find something that at least. At the very least you don't like, Your life over. And two, gives you some sort of purpose, something to work towards, instead of just a little extra pay at the end of the year. Cause what does that really change in your life? Nothing. Let's face it. That 10%, 20% bonus that you're staying at your job to get, is that really going to change things? No. For most people, absolutely no. So if you want to quit your job, okay, if you want more time, freedom, you have to pick a skill and stick with it. That is why, you know, I did TikTok Shop and U G C. That's why I started. If you want to do that, lock in on one thing and get very good at it on the side of your job. And then use it as leverage to quit.
