All right, so I'm sitting in church today and somebody says something to this effect. If the only reason you're serving a mission is what it will do for you, then you're not ready to serve a mission, which to which I vehemently disagree, by the way. And let me tell you why. It's what my mission president said to me. I remember sitting down with him, I think it was my first interview, President Squires, and I I can't even remember what I said to him, but he said, I don't care why you're here. I don't care what got you here. I care why you're still here and what's keeping you here. I certainly didn't go for the right reasons at all. I just got my way on a mission. I barely squeaked on one. In fact, if my bishop hadn't fast tracked me, I never would have made it, to be honest. If you know what I'm saying. Thank you, Bishop. But then I got out there and I stayed for the right reasons. And then, as cliché as it sounds, it literally changed everything for me. It it gave me purpose, it showed me who I wanted to become. It's I've thought about it every single day since I've been home. It's influenced every decision. I talk about it all the time and it's why I haven't left the church. So just get on a mission. 100% agree with my mission president. It's not what gets you on one, it's what keeps you out. That's what matters.
