Reply to @tyshawnoyoung Mary Cosby is def in that “above this” archetype low key one of my favorite types of housewives on all the housewife shows is the one housewife that I swear she is above the drama I don’t do drama but meanwhile it’s still always in some drama I call this the above it all housewife she usually thinks she’s observing the drama and not an active participant in it reason that this archetype is so interesting and so funny to me is because they’re not like the villain where like they know that they’re constantly stirring the pot but they normally see themselves as like more evolved more rational than the rest of the group maybe even more educated than the rest of the group but the irony is that usually causes conflict so while they play the role of kind of like the adult in the room they really do benefit from the drama without directly being in the drama a good example of this architect is my girl Doctor Wendy I love her so bad Wendy definitely initially came out to say like oh I’m not trying to argue with y’all I’m not in the drama but Doctor Wendy very much does engage in the drama and her academic social identity does kind of distance her from the group but they always pull her back in Meredith Marks and Mary Cosby own this archetype Meredith is known for I’m disengaging I’m disengaging but Meredith literally will be the one that has set the entire scene up the entire play meanwhile she’s talking about I’m disengaging she tries to be detached but she is always very close to the drama and Mary is unique with it Mary literally treats the cast like she is watching the show with us she is usually confused by their group norm and whatever conflict is going on in the group she is literally in her own world but actively in the drama at the same time now the author and creator of this archetype definitely goes to she usually is the one that kind of gives the energy of like I am above this this energy is beneath me and somewhat like polices everybody’s behavior is southern Belle Pineda she tried to play this role you know she was prim proper the classy attorney she did play the role well until season 5 when Kenya came along and pushed all her buttons Yolanda Hadid her energy was more of like I have more values than the rest of the cast who do y’all think is the most above it all housewife and let me know what archetype do you want to talk about in the next video
