This is every single bank account that you should have and exposing how much I have in each. Since I know you'll be nosy. Number one, the most basic, a checking account. Think of this like a train station. Your money should be coming in but never staying in here. And that's why I have $0 in this account. Number two, a high yield savings account. This should be for your emergency fund and short-term goals. The reason why this is such an important account is because you make so much more interest than a traditional checking or savings account. If you're interested and want to check them out, I have so many options in my bio. Check them out. My two highest, I have $43,198. Next, retirement accounts. Think Roth IRA, 401k or HSA. There are other options out there, but these are the most common. These are obviously here to help you plan for retirement. And the great thing about them is that they all have tax advantages. Across all of my retirement accounts, I have $153,941.27. Lastly, brokerage accounts. These accounts can have an individual or a joint account. And if you want to access your money before retirement, then this is the account for you. There are absolutely no tax advantages for this account, but you can buy and sell stocks at your leisure and use the money however you see fit. My wife and I currently share our joint brokerage account and we have $77,847.65 sitting in there. I also have quite a few options for investment accounts in my bio if you want to check them out as well. If you're a regular person and you want to start working for you, then I would sign up for each of these accounts.
