How to grow an avocado from seed (aka pit) 🌱 I’ve been wanting to try this for ages and finally got round to trying it, so I thought I’d show you how to do it too! Growing an avocado plant from seed it really easy to do, it just takes a little patience. Follow the steps below and you’ll have an avocado tree in no time! 1. Soak your avocado seed in water for 20 minutes 2. Gently peel away the top layer, it’s very satisfying 3. Wrap the seed in a wet paper towel 4. Seal the avocado seed in a plastic bag 5. Throw it into a dark cupboard and forget about it for a month 6. After a month or so, take it out to check it, you should have roots! 7. Pop it in water with just the roots and bottom section submerged, I used a vase but you can also use toothpicks to balance it on the top of a jar. 8. Watch it grow!
