This is a little bit embarrassing, but when I was 17, I smoked probably three blunts in the game, blunt wraps with my friends, got super high and watched the movie Chappie, which is kind of like a mid sci-fi movie that came out around that time. But it was the first time where like, I had my own thoughts, not like childhood thoughts. And I was in that headspace and I was interacting with a piece of media that dealt with the ideas of like, consciousness being inside of technology and like, not wanting to be turned off and like begging to not be turned off. And it moved me deeply. Like it was the first time I'd ever thought about that stuff. And it like totally changed how I felt and how I thought about consciousness as a whole. And there's so many better movies and pieces of art that deal with this idea, but this was the first one and Chappie was like a cute robot character and it fucked me up, dude. So don't let me catch you talking shit about Chappie 'cause it's hands.
