Two dogs in the middle of the road stuck together.

Sometimes I think about what would’ve happened if we’d driven down that road five minutes earlier or five minutes later😔 Would we have missed her? Would her story have been completely different? All the other cars drove right past. We didn’t have to think twice. We stopped. This was the first time I’d ever actually witnessed two dogs mating. For the first time, I wasn’t just seeing the street dog crisis🐾 I was watching exactly how another generation of puppies would come into the world, and what their future would likely look like. Born on the streets, fighting to survive, and eventually contributing to the cycle all over again💔 We made the decision the day we rescued Pemmy (yes, because of the Pemex⛽️🥲) that we would get her spayed. This world already has too many dogs waiting in shelters and on the streets, hoping someone will choose them😭 We also saw the life she still deserved to live🥹🌊✨ Instead of raising puppies… she got the chance to just be one herself💕 She found a family of her own, a sister to grow up with, and a future that looks nothing like the one we found her headed toward🏡
