PART TWO😅 So there we were, in the middle of the night, exhausted beyond belief and carrying Birdie into yet ANOTHER veterinary hospital because her catheter wasn’t draining and we weren’t willing to take any chances. It took a little longer than we had hoped, which at this point felt like an eternity because we were running on absolutely nothing😂😭 but this team was awesome! They were kind, helpful and got Birdie all taken care of so that we felt confident getting back on the road and making the rest of the journey to Los Angeles. We pulled an all nighter and got our girl to Los Angeles by morning! Back to the team that’s been rooting for her from the start and that did a wonderful job on her surgery! When we finally walked through those doors, I cannot even explain how good the energy felt. They took her in right away to evaluate the infection, her incisions, and do what they do best, figure out exactly what Birdie needs🫶🏼 BIRDIE IS HAPPY AND STABLE!!!💗 Her bloodwork looks great, everything they’ve checked so far has been reassuring, and this girl is still completely herself! I hate that Birdie had to go through this detour. I hate how scary and unnecessarily overwhelming the last couple of days became🥹 but we made it! We’ll keep being the boots on the ground, pulling the all nighters, making the drives and doing whatever Birdie needs🙏🏼 Rescue is a team effort, and we couldn’t do this without you guys! If Birdie’s journey has touched you and you’d like to contribute, we are deep in emergency vet bills from these past 48 hours😫 Any support through the link in our bio would mean SO much!! Let’s get this girl healed and back to swimming and FLYING around in those wheels🌊🌞
