I was scrolling on this blue app a few days ago when I stumbled on this image attached. You see, many people have reduced prayer to just a means of asking God for money. They think prayer is just for poor people who need money. That's why someone can see a billionaire like Dangote praying and they ask, “With all the money wey Dangote get, wetin e Dey pray for again?” The only reason why people pray is not just to ask God for money. Prayer was never designed to be an emergency financial line. – You pray to receive direction. – You pray to build intimacy with Him. – You pray to thank Him. – You pray to seek wisdom. – You pray for divine ideas. – You pray to find favour among men & God. – You pray to ask for strength to handle the responsibilities He has entrusted to you. So never measure someone's need for prayer by the size of their bank account. If the only thing we need as humans is money then the wealthiest people on earth will have no reason to pray. But despite all their money, wealthy people know there are things their money can't do for them and only God can. ❌ Money can not buy wisdom. ❌ Money cannot buy peace. ❌ Money cannot guarantee good health. ❌ Money cannot reveal the future. ❌ Money cannot give you divine ideas. ❌ Money cannot guarantee God's presence. So you don't only pray because you're broke. You pray because you're human and it's a means for you to stay connected to your maker. One of the dangers of financial success is thinking that you no longer need God because you've started making good money. Let me break this to you… The more financially successful you become, the more you should even be prayerful if you're a believer. You know why? Because every new level will attract new devuls. Selah!
