Why isn't NVIDIA's stock price going up? Is anybody else a little sick of this question over the last few days? Well, first, let's take a look at it versus some of the other chipmakers. Here's the one month chart. NVIDIA versus AMD versus Qualcomm. NVIDIA is in black, Qualcomm is in blue, and AMD is in purple. You can see that NVIDIA is up about 7% while the other two are up over 70%. So it's obvious for this small period of time, which one you would want to hold. That said, NVIDIA did have a pretty good run up over $220 a share before earnings and then it released a bit. This is very, very common. It happens almost every quarter. It happens almost every quarter. So now let's talk about what it takes to move these stocks. So NVIDIA has a market cap of $5.3 trillion and about 24 billion shares outstanding. So this means that for the shares to increase by 1%, we need the market capitalization to increase by 1%.
