Bee Tea Cups

Let me show you how to make these pollinator watering stations that I am affectionately calling bee cups. The pollinators have been using the bird bath were drowning even with added rocks, so I decided to try something different. I picked up these adorable teacup sets at my local habitat for humanity, grabbed some construction adhesive and glued the sets together. I picked up these cheap solar stakes from Walmart. I wanted to be able to move these around the yard easily and then I also added some construction glue and added the tea sets to the top. I found that using this old cardboard box was an easy way to hold them in place and I let this cure for approximately 24 hours. I found these river rock bags at the Dollar Tree, washed off the rocks and then went to work putting these into the garden in a shady area. I filled each cup up with rocks so it gave the bees and the pollinators a place to stand and then added nice fresh water into each cup. This is a great alternative to a bigger bird bath and has a source for water for these pollinators on these hot summer days and you can see we already had a couple visitors within the first couple minutes of placing them in the yard.
