my Bangladeshi parents didn't understand it when I wanted to switch from teaching into something more untraditional and risky of starting my own business and pursuing an online career. when they immigrated to the US from Bangladesh, they worked long hours, odd jobs, and sacrificed everything so that their kids wouldn't have to struggle like them. but this is one of the proudest moments I got to share with my dad - as he's closing out his shift of driving his cab for 14 hours and me after years of being a self employed entrepreneur - because this just shows that with hard work and dedication, you can create your own american dream. and that they don't have to worry anymore ❤️ #immigrantdad #bengali #desi
