Nokia equipment make a phone call, stream a show, connect to a network, train an AI model. Effectively, Nokia works in a way to make sure that data moves from point A to point B. Currently, they have four different revenue streams. The first is their traditional business, telecommunications. Nokia still has so much of the equipment and the infrastructure behind the 5G mobile network, soon to be 6G. Secondly, they did an acquisition of Infinera in 2024. This is a huge US chipmaker that also specializes in optical cables, in optical networks, fiber optics, as well as other types of networking and manipulation in silicon. Effectively, Nokia does ensure that when you have a data center, you have strength and secure. Third, they have a software business that helps support cloud and networking softwares. And third, they have an interesting research lab that holds patents and does licensing.
