Setting up my Steam Machine was so annoying because the controller kept bugging out, finally ended up using a mouse and kb for the initial setup 😭 but if you got it with the controller together it should already be paired. I was honestly expecting performance to be a lot worse though. It was actually capped at 60fps at this point so it could've gone over. It's hitting 60fps on medium settings. It's hitting 60fps and it looks like fine. Randomly, we tried playing Kingdom Hearts 3 and it literally just froze. The entire thing froze and I had to force shut it down because nothing was working on the controller. I also had some weird issues on Kingdom Hearts 3 because I had Decky frame gen enabled, not even like enabled, but you have to unpatch or else you get like overexposed scene. But after that, we fixed that, it was fine. It's actually hitting 120fps using Proton 11. But by default, everything is capped at 60. So you actually have to go into the settings and like enable 120fps, otherwise nothing will run over 60. The setup process honestly was super frustrating, but I think if you buy it with the controller together, it's a lot easier because they're already paired and you don't need to like use the puck or anything. I've only tried a couple of games so far and haven't had any performance issues outside of that weird Kingdom Hearts thing, but that was because of Decky frame gen. The gyro feature on the controller is honestly super cool, so I'm excited to keep playing around with that. I ran Pagmata and I was expecting the graphics to look terrible and like stutter and everything, but it was actually running really well. Over, although when you get outside and there's like more things to be loaded, it's only around like 60, 65fps. Also if you're interested in trying emulation on this, it's definitely not plug and play, but we finally got it to work after a little bit of tinkering. So let me know down in the comments if there's anything specific you want to see on the Steam Machine.
