So my wife and I have been living in San Francisco

So my wife and I have been living in San Francisco in the city for about five years now, and we're now thinking about moving outside of the city. And so we've been taking these like little day trips to different parts of the bay, different little cities and towns, just to check them out and see where we would want to move to potentially. And so this past weekend we took a day trip up to San Anselmo and Fairfax, which is about 30 minutes north of San Francisco. It's up in Marin County. And it was awesome. Like it was great. Like this beautiful little downtown, brunch at like Pretty Plates, I think it was called. The food was great. Like very quaint and it's cool because it's like nestled kind of in the hills/mountains. So it feels almost like a PNW vibe, like feels very green, it's very like, wooded. And when we got there, my like stress just immediately dropped. Like when you're living inside of San Francisco, like in the city itself, your guard is kind of always up because there's always, you know, crazy homeless people who could, like, could assault you at any second, or there's somebody yelling, there's somebody honking, there's an ambulance, there's a fire truck. It's never quiet. And you get used to it after a couple of years, but it was, in a weird way, almost unsettling, being in such a quiet downtown because you didn't hear any of that. Like, there wasn't any, you know, crazy homeless people around, so you didn't really have to worry about that. Like, it was very low traffic. There were just people walking. Nobody was yelling, nobody was honking. I felt my cortisol drop and I was like, is this what life is actually supposed to be like? Because this is awesome. And so we started looking at it, you know, it's not cheap, right? To live in that area. But I think it's probably in our top three, like little towns/areas that we'd want to live in. And so now we're looking at it, you know, a little bit more seriously, looking at it, thinking about timing, thinking about stuff like that. We've been looking at some other places around the bay, like, you know, down on the peninsula, like Redwood City, I think is actually pretty cool. We did look at Pacifica, just for a minute. Um, but Pacifica is, it's actually far, surprisingly. Like, even though it's just south of the city, it actually takes a little bit to get down there. But the only problem with being north of the city up in Marin is that you then have to contend with bridge traffic, which definitely can be annoying. But if there's any other like little towns around the bay that you love, that you think is worth moving to for like a young couple/family, let me know because we're still in an exploration phase and trying to figure out where we would want to go. Um, so I'm always curious to hear thoughts and recommendations.
