So when another young Black man goes missing in America, we don't just look at the headlines because we usually find out that there's a whole lot more to the story. Now that a body has been found, I think it's very important for people to take a step back and understand that two things can be true at the same time. There hasn't been an official investigation yet and we don't know all the facts. Nobody is supposed to be accused of a crime without evidence. That's how justice is supposed to work, even if it doesn't work like that for everybody. I've seen a post where somebody said that the culture is immediately attacking the other people that were on the boat. That ain't true. We ain't attacking nobody. Black Americans are asking questions and being skeptical about this situation is because we're not just reacting to one situation, but actually in reality, we just reacting to history. Because in too many situations, we were told to just wait until we get the facts, see what happens, and then it turns out months, years later, that the party that we accused to be guilty was guilty in the first place. Asking questions and wanting transparency is not the same as accusing somebody.
