Making a College Themed Jellycat Myself 🧡💙

My friend Mia graduated at this point months ago and for her grad gift I wanted to get her the college Jellycat. So I found one on Etsy but she kept pushing back the order and at this point it's going to be four months past the order date. So I'm going to make it myself. The supplies to make it were cheaper than the Etsy one and mind you the Etsy one wasn't even a real Jellycat. So anyway, let's go over my plan. This is the Jellycat that I got. It already has fabric added so I think I'm just going to put fabric over it and I'm going to hand stitch everything because I want to get out my sewing machine and it's more sentimental. College reveal. I got this fabric from Amazon. She's going to UF. There were a lot of options on Amazon for different fabrics and they give you so much of it. Like I will not be using all of this. And then I also got orange ribbon to put around the ears. This is the darkest blue thread I have so it's just going to have to work. First step, I'm going to draw it out and cut out the ears and feet shapes. Okay, I cut out the pieces for the ears but I think I'm going to do the feet first because they look a little bit easier. I don't know how I'm going to get into this crease here. But it already looks super cute. It's been one hour and I finished one foot. I'm being kind of a perfectionist about it so that's why. But the stitching doesn't have to be perfect because like from afar or even just like a couple inches back like it looks fine. Okay, the feet are done. If you look closely, you can see how bad my stitching is, especially right there. But just don't. The ears are so much harder than the feet. Like I can really hide my stitching on the feet but on the ears like you can totally tell. Like especially up here my thread broke like nine times and also my thread is like bright blue so it's not blending in either. Okay. She's done. She came out so cute even though my stitching is so bad. Don't look. If I was better at sewing, it would look better. But also like I didn't want you to be able to see the stitching through the back of the ears. So they just have to look like this. She came out so cute though. I kind of want to make one for my school but also like this took me like four or five hours total. And I hate hand stitching. So. Now we're going to put her back in her bag.
