I just need to say this too because it's been frustrating me. Just because you're let in as an 18, doesn't mean you can act a fool. And if you got into a strictly 21 plus place, act like you're 21, okay? I just recently saw a DJ Sammy Virgi in Brooklyn. And the next day I went online and saw a ton of people complaining because it wasn't over 21 because all the kids were ruining it, etc. And this is just like, is such a common thing that even I get frustrated about. I'm not even 21 and I'm annoying about the 18-year-olds that are in the building. I really wish there were more 18+ places because I feel like you should still be able to have fun and you're in college, you want to go out. But then you go to the 18 bars and you're like, this is why they don't exist. Because why are we standing on tables, why are we literally acting such a fool? Because the other issue with places being 21 plus too is that now you're inviting people under 18 to come in. I mean, I was in bars under 18 and like, I wasn't going out every single weekend and I also wasn't acting like a fool. My friends and I were just there to dance and listen to music, that was it. But especially in Miami, we have this thing called the Grove, if you're in Miami, you know. It's kind of like Miami's college area, but it's also for FIU and then there's also a lot of high school students there. And then immediately the vibe is killed when there's like a 16-year-old in the bar. What are you doing? Literally, what are you doing? And there were full adults around too, like people in their 40s and 50s are looking at this kid like someone gets the babysitter. Raves, which I could talk for hours about. If you go to a rave, you need to know pleur. You need to know how to respect people. Raves have become so mainstream, which I think is amazing. Everybody should be able to enjoy a rave. It's my favorite thing to do ever. I think raves are a lot safer than clubs. Raves are a lot safer than any bar. But it's safe because people have peace, love, unity, and respect. You don't need to be mean to the people that are next to you. You don't need to push to get barricade. You don't need to be obnoxious. Also, there's no moshing at raves unless it's like maybe dubstep. There's usually signs that say no moshing because it's dangerous. So anyway, moral of the story, go out and have fun, be young, but don't ruin it for everybody else. Be aware of your surroundings. Just don't kill the vibe by acting insane in a public space.
