Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
One business charges $40 an hour. Another business doing basically the same thing, $500 an hour. One at $500 per hour feels he can charge more. The one at $40 an hour is terrified to raise his prices because he's feels his clients will leave him. So what is the difference between these two businesses? Even though they do almost exactly the same thing, probably at different levels, mind you, uh, different markets, different cities, different mindsets, different business blueprint, uh, different branding, different uh, different employee mindset, different training, uh. They do the same product, uh, renovations. Their mindset is completely different and the clients are completely different. So $40 or $500? Now I'm guessing a $500 because he charges per job, not by the hour and I've asked him to break it down per hour so we can have an intelligent conversation. He hasn't done that. So I'm guessing around $500. It might be more. It might be 750, it might be 1,000. It that someone that charges at least $500 per hour feels he can charge more, has no problem going to his clients and say, hey, I'm gonna be charging you more, um, and yet the guy at $40 per hour is guilty, feels guilty about charging more than $40 per hour. So what is happening here? Is this the economy is or is this a mindset? Experience, 40 years of designing businesses tells me this is a mindset. To do with the economy. People with money have money to spend no matter what's happening with the economy. Agree or disagree? The case, if you just agreed with that statement, then why not focus on going after more affluent clientele, right? Why go after the people who are price conscious, who are, you know, looking at the first thing is price, not quality, not, you know, not quality of life, um, and not workmanship. So I would love to hear your comments below. And both of these calls happen today, same day. Coincidence? Not really. I have conversations with, at least 200 people a day on your, uh, video comments, emails, uh, Zoom calls and so on. So could it be that it's your mindset that's holding you back from building generational or building quality of life? Why is it some people stick with working with their hands for their lives and yet other people in the exact same industry hire people, create teams and manage their projects remotely or better yet have a CEO or general manager who run the company for them. So would love to hear your thoughts below. Be truthful, be vulnerable. But tell me how you really feel about starting a business today and why haven't you started? Post follow for more. Post your comments below. Take care.
