You might be working with contractors, managing schedules and budgets and solving problems on the fly. You're basically making sure that the project gets built. Next up is oil and gas infrastructure. This is where civil engineers work on things like pipeline, L&G facilities and other large energy projects. These projects are massive and the work can take you all over the country. The next field is working in the utilities. This is where civil engineers help design and improve the infrastructure that delivers electricity, natural gas and water to millions of people. Next up is commercial buildings and vertical construction. This is where you're helping to design things like sky scraper, hospitals, stadiums and data centers. And lastly is transportation infrastructure. So think highways, bridges, airports, rail systems. These are the projects that keep cities moving. If you enjoy with working with large public infrastructure, this could be a field worth looking into. As always, pick a career that you're generally interested in, do not focus solely on the money.
