Most people believe success comes from a few key things: • determination • persistence • strategic thinking • education • talent and hard work And while all of those have value, the greatest men and women in the Bible built their lives on something completely different. They trusted God. Abraham trusted God’s promise before he ever saw the miracle. Moses trusted God when he felt completely unqualified. David trusted God before he ever became king. Daniel trusted God even when it put his life at risk. None of them believed their success was simply the result of their own intelligence, discipline, or ability. They recognized that every opportunity, every victory, every blessing, and every promotion came from the hand of God. The world teaches us to depend on ourselves. The Bible teaches us to depend on God. God is not against planning, learning, or working hard. In fact, He calls us to be diligent. But when our confidence is in our own strength instead of His, we eventually reach our limits. Real success begins when we surrender our plans to God and allow Him to direct our steps. As Scripture says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 And remember: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1 Work hard. Be faithful. Keep learning. But never forget where your strength, wisdom, and success truly come from. The greatest advantage you’ll ever have isn’t your strategy—it’s your complete dependence on God.
