I Didn’t Expect My Butterflies To Have 1,000 Babies...🦋 I initially got 10 caterpillars to hatch into butterflies…but once they emerged, I got the surprise of my life! They all started mating and laying COUNTLESS tiny blue eggs. I soon found myself accidentally raising like 1,000 caterpillars!! I really never expected to be running a full-blown maternity ward for butterflies in my house, but honestly now I wouldn’t have it any other way! And now I’m wondering if I’m just going to have painted lady butterflies forever… So, please enjoy watching the life cycle of a painted lady caterpillar to a butterfly FULL CIRCLE- from forming the chrysalis, to hatching, to mating, to laying a thousand eggs, to those eggs actually hatching into an army of caterpillars….the metamorphosis is genuinely awesome. 👀 I was able to track every stage of my experiment using my app: Grow It!
