Google Search Console Now Tracks Social Media Performance Google Search Console has introduced a new feature called Platform Properties, allowing you to track how your social media content performs in Google Search and Discover. This is a big shift. You can now see how posts from Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube are discovered through Google even if you don’t have a website. Once connected, you’ll get access to familiar Search Console data, including clicks, impressions, and the search queries driving traffic to your content. There’s also an Insights report showing your top-performing posts and how users are finding you, plus milestone tracking to monitor growth over time. This is different from Google’s Search Profiles, which are public-facing pages. Platform Properties are purely for analytics, giving you visibility into how your content performs in search. If you’re serious about growing through organic discovery, this is a feature worth paying attention to.
