You are burning your own Claude limit right now because your weekly limits are getting run through in two days. But the truth is, you are burning most of that limit yourself. Here are three leaks that I have fixed. First, raw PDFs. Claude burns up to 70% more tokens trying to process a PDF versus just a regular text file. Microsoft has had a free tool for this for a while now called MarkDown. It will convert that PDF into text for you. I made a whole video on it, so if you want to learn more, go check it out. Second is arguing with the chat. Every message re-reads your entire conversation, so correct Claude five times and you pay for that bloated context five times. And honestly, the answers just get worse the more you argue. So ask Claude to make you a handoff doc, then type /clear to erase the context. Then paste that handoff doc in the new chat and you are good to go. Then, at the beginning of every session, Claude reads what is called the claude.md file. So take all the things that you routinely re-explain to Claude every time you start a new session and put them in this file. Do not write it yourself, ask Claude to help you write the claude.md file. They have a built-in command for this, /init. Nothing in here costs money, it is all free, so save this before you hit your limit.
