Imagine owning a stock that pays you every single month and has done it for decades. This company is known as the monthly dividend company because it pays dividends every month instead of every three months. I've owned this stock for a few years with an average cost around $55. So I'm currently up about 15% along with all the nice dividends that's paid me consistently month after month. That company is real estate income, ticker symbol O. Real estate income is a real estate investment trust, a REIT. It owns commercial properties, collects rent from its tenants, and pays returns of that income to shareholders like me. As of July 2026, Realty Income has declared 673 consecutive monthly dividends and has increased its dividend for more than 31 consecutive years. That's an incredible track record, but remember, even great dividend stocks can fall in price and dividends are never guaranteed. Realty Income is a perfect example of how dependable monthly cash flow can make a stock attractive to long term investors. I don't know about you, but I love getting a dividend increase every single year.
