Protecting and defending children will always come first to me before anything else. And that should be the case for everyone else. I’ve never felt compelled to defend an abusive mother that is mistreating and harming her children yet I’ve seen mothers do so. I thought we wanted to protect the kids? Some parents want to protect and defend parenthood before actually protecting and defending the children. Childfree people aren’t caught up in any dilemma like because to us, the children come first and that doesn’t clash with our childfree status the way it clashes with the status of some parents. And yes, I do see this happen more amongst mothers than I do fathers and the moralization of motherhood and benevolent sexism are some of the reasons why. #childfree #childfreebychoice #childfreetiktok #dink #protectthechildren
