I quit my 9 to 5 a year ago and I'm gonna give you girls my biggest tip if you want to also build a brand and my tips for building in public. I think there's a right and a wrong way to do it. My first tip is to product market fit first before you go into production. I think so many people I'll just assume that they have a good idea, but I think it's important to share your idea first and see if people are actually interested in it. I started sharing just through AI mockups and that really gave a gauge to the interest and what girls wanted. And that also allowed my community to to build the brand with me. They picked all the colors, they picked the patch, the trim, the logo, the packaging. They felt more a part of the journey with me, which I think is really important if you are building in public is create a product for the consumer and for your community instead of just thinking about doing it for yourself. Another thing with building in public is don't share just for founders. I think so many founders create content for founders, but you want to be creating content for your community. That's a big shift in your mind is create for other people and the community and not for yourself and for other founders. My third tip is to get really comfortable talking to the camera. And truly it's repetition. I used to be so awkward. But I used to hate talking to the camera so much. And now I feel like it feels like second nature and it feels really comfortable because it was just repetition and doing it every single day. Even if you're awkward at first, don't post it. Just get comfortable. Those are my biggest tips if you wanna build in public.
