I accidentally created the personal brand of my dreams and hindsight is 2020. So if you took me back and asked me how to replicate my success, these would be the exact steps. First, it does take intention and planning. So step number one, I would say to create a canva document and actually write out what you want to be known for. What's your vision? What's the end goal? If you could snap your fingers and have your dream brand tomorrow, what would it look like? Be detailed. Step number two, pick your pillars. Document, also write down maybe one to three niche interests, content pillars, topics of some sort. For me, this was pretty rich and smart. Those are very broad because I am very broad in those categories and I know that I can speak on a lot of things within those three things. Yours could be fashion and beauty, or investing tips, personal finance, whatever it is, pick a few things that you are good at and that you want to be known for. Step three, content ideas. I would say start brainstorming some content ideas around whatever pillars you picked. You can literally type in your content pillars into TikTok and see what people are already creating, which just give yourself a catalog of ideas. Step four, content creation. We have to execute. This is the big scary part, okay? I need you to first, you can start posting like voiceovers or like content with audio over it, just to get your feet wet if you've never created content before. But you need to eventually graduate to talking videos. I don't care what anyone says, you cannot build a personal brand and not speak on the internet. I don't think it's possible. Not possible. Baby steps. I posted on this app for like three or four years before I was comfortable speaking. You need to work with yourself and give yourself a realistic timeline. Step five, throw everything at the wall. Once you're executing, you need to be trying different formats, okay? I get a lot of people that are like, I'm stuck. I'm posting one video format and they're not getting any views. Switch the format. If you're posting, get ready with me videos, and they're not working, try storytelling. Use different hooks. You need to try as many variations as possible, okay? So that's step number five. Throw everything at the wall. Step six, iterate with data. I want you to post maybe 100 videos before you get to this point, okay? You need to have a backlog of videos to look back at. Look through the analytics. Take the time and see what is working. Do shorter videos work better? Do longer videos work better? What style of video? What hooks are working? What are people saying in the comments? What are people DMing you asking for advice for? What are people starting to associate you with? I need you to double down on those associations. If your makeup videos are catching more than the fashion, double down on that. If your investing videos are catching more than the personal finance, find the winner and double down on that. Step seven, double down on associations. What are people saying in the comments? What are people DMing you asking for advice for? What are people starting to associate you with? I need you to double down on those associations. If your makeup videos are catching more than the fashion, double down on that. If your investing videos are catching more than the personal finance, find the winner and double down on that. Step eight, freebie to solve a problem for your audience. What next step is, I lost track. Create a free digital product. Create a free download of some sort. Hopefully set it up in Shopify or some sort of e-commerce platform that can store all of the emails from the people that download the thing because that's what we're going to build your business off of. I'm running out of time, but that is exactly how I would at least get started building a personal brand from scratch. We'll go over monetization in another video. But that's good luck, Diva.
