What’s the difference between IT and OT? I see these get confused A LOTTTT. IT stands for information technology. OT stands for operational technology. IT focuses on: - Data management and processing - Business applications and software - Computer systems, databases, networks OT focuses on: - Monitoring and control of physical processes - Automation of industrial operations and machinery - Systems like ICS, SCADA, or PLCs for process control While they might have different goals, they’re both equally crucial for business. P.S. What do you specialize in? IT or OT? #informationtechnology #networkengineer #networking #technology #workingintech
