Said famously, watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny. Every time I come across this, I'm reminded character is one of the most important things that we build. We build it in every moment of our lives. Science shows that those decisions compound over our lifetime. Every time we choose honesty, we become a little bit more honest. Every time we choose kindness or compassion, we become more compassionate. In return, those around us, and ourselves. Actually, research from the Character Lab also backs this up by showing that character is something that we actively participate in from birth until death, regardless of whether we want to or not. The only question is how diligently, how active of a participant will be in the development of your own character and how active participant will be in the development of your own destiny?
