how i use my commonplace book

Hi friends, today I thought I could show you a little peek into my commonplace book. A commonplace book or journal is really the centralizing notebook that is used to create this lifelong reference library for learning, writing, and your creative thinking. I've been using this A5ダイゴー株式会社 notebook and cover duo, that I got in Japan, and I've been absolutely loving it. It has so many features that make it the ideal commonplace book. Starting with this built-in margin on the left-hand side, which is perfect for jotting down extra notes or any information about the entry that I'm working on. In this one, I am currently working through a course on grammar and I've been learning a lot. There are so many rules. This one is particularly about lead-in stems and markers. The type of list (embedded or tabulated) and the grammatical structure of what lead-in stem together (if any) should dictate what punctuation mark (if any) should be used between the end of the lead-in and the first item listed. - When the lead-in is in an embedded list, it is a phrase (not a sentence) that flows directly into the list, do not use any punctuation. I am going to the store to buy bananas, apples, and oranges. - When the lead-in is in stem in an embedded list is a complete sentence, use a colon. I am going to the store to buy: bananas, apples, and oranges. - As long as you do not separate a preposition or a verb phrase from its object, you can use a colon. For example: James will study: for the exam, for the presentation, and for the final exam. - A remark document, the Bill of Rights established, among other things: The right to practice religion. The right to free speech; and the right to bear arms. - The right to practice religion. The right to free speech; and the right to bear arms. I've also been using this tagging system that I originally got the idea for from Megan Rianne. She's amazing. So each of these colored dots is a different topic. I've been using it to cover specific topics, and I've been using it for this grammar course that I'm taking. And I've gone through like 50 pages and I have about 150 more to go. And so I thought we could do a new entry together. The pen that I am using is my trusty pilot fountain pen and the fine nib, but recently I've been liking this one because it's a lot easier to see.
