I wax couches for a living and it is summer and the number one thing that I'm hearing in my studio right now is clients struggling with boils and large ingrowns, inflamed ingrowns, cystic type of ingrowns and although there's not much you can do if you are out in the heat often and we're sweating and we're trying to live our lives and be outside this summer, I'm gonna give you a few tips if you struggle with inflamed ingrowns especially due to the heat. Tip number one, get some hypochlorous acid spray. This is literally hand sanitizer for your body. It is something that you can easily throw in your purse and spritz down your bikini area, the armpits, anywhere that you're getting super sweaty when you don't have a chance to shower or change your clothes yet, whether you're coming from a workout class and you have some errands to run and you're headed straight to dinner and you're not gonna be home till like 8 o'clock at night and it's 100 degrees outside. In your purse that you carry with you, take a zip lock baggy and put a fresh pair of undies in there and sometime midway through your day, spritz your hypochlorous acid on your skin and change your undies because sometimes we're just sitting in too much sweat all day and that bacteria is gonna have time to fester and cause ingrowns. It's not gonna be a perfect solution all the time, but if you're struggling with inflamed ingrowns, trust me, this could be something that saves you. Another tip I have is if you are having a long day, let's say you're going to work and then after work you have a couple errands to run and you're headed straight to dinner and you're not gonna be home till like 8 o'clock at night and it's 100 degrees outside. Another tip I have is to increase your exfoliation. So use a physical exfoliant a little bit more often than you would normally. Skip heavy body oils and opt for lighter gel-based moisturizers.
