Crabbox: Crabb ox is a generic remote software testing and execution control plane. It is for maintainers, contributors, and automation that need to run repository commands somewhere other than the laptop in front of them: on managed cloud capacity, an existing SSH host, or a delegated provider. Crabb ox keeps the local workflow, but moves the expensive producing work onto a remote runner. Crabb ox runs the command remotely, streams records evidence, and releases the command. The system is a Go CLI. Crabb ox allows coding agents to run their own coding workbenches or even run their own agent runtimes in cloud sandboxes. It's basically a CLI tool that the agents running on your computer can use to test their own code which streams your computer like code logs, screenshots or screen recordings. Or your agents can actually run agents in those cloud sandboxes. It's useful if you have a dirty git project on your computer and need to test multiple different git states in parallel with the actual live code running. You just have multiple agents in remote sandboxes instead of testing the multiple different versions of live code running on your computer. What's really cool is using the crab fleet functionality of crab box where your agents can actually spin up agent inside those cloud sandboxes to do agent work. All the agent and credentials are managed by a local process running on your computer that then basically spawns up an agent in a cloud sandbox that can do agent coding work or agent business work.
