Which AI agent setup is the best? Obsidian plus Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or something else? Obsidian plus Claude Code is good if you just want persistent memory for your agent. But if you want an always on agent, you're going to have to make those workflows yourself. OpenClaw shines in terms of its community and getting the messaging setup. It's proactive by nature and it has a big library of skills. Just make sure they're not malicious. Hermes is tagged as the agent that grows with you. Coolest thing is the autonomous skill creation. So after doing a task, it will create a skill so that next time it requires less prompting. Now I'm biased because I'm a software engineer, but I think that building your own is one of the best ways that you can go. Plus you can pick and choose which features from these other tools that you want to include in yours. That way you don't have to switch back and forth every time something new comes up.
