I'm not shaking a baby. I like to call myself the baby whisperer. If I have six kids, I'm the oldest of six kids and I wanted to make this video for so long. I have so many little tricks that just make parenthood, motherhood easier. First and foremost, get blackout curtains. You can sleep train them and it's going to be black and dark and cozy in the room with blackout curtains and then it's time to wake up. Secondly, put a box fan in your baby's room. I know they're not cute, but we swear by the box fan. It's a big one, especially for newborn. If you have a fussy baby, if your baby is colicky, you name it, I promise you this is going to help. It's called the 5 S's. So pretend this is a baby, okay? You first off, swaddle your baby. This is JJ and this is Goldie's baby blanket. I don't want to swaddle them tight. The first time I taught this, I was like, oh my gosh, can they move again? Yes, they can move. They can breathe. The second S is suck. You're going to want to give them a pacifier. Some people don't like pacifiers, I swear by pacifiers. Give the baby a pacifier. You're going to turn them on their side, stick with me. You're going to shake them. You're going to give them something to suck on. You're going to shake them in their ear, pretty loud. You're going to mimic being in your belly. I'm telling you it sounds crazy. I have never not been able to get a baby to calm down using the 5 S's. So you're going to go like this. You're going to shake your baby. Shake the baby. Shh shh shh. And then they calm down. And then they calm down. I promise you, it's going to work 99.99999% of the time. You're going to go like this. You're going to shake baby. Shake the baby. Shh shh shh.
