I have been dating. We all know what I have gone through over the last couple years. My picker isn't so great. I've ignored pretty big red flags. I didn't see it as a red flag because just naturally I see the best in people and I trust people. But I've been hyper-focused on trying to find the red flags early on with anybody that I'm dating. And I realized yesterday, I have missed huge green flags because of this. If you've been in my shoes, you probably understand where I'm coming from. I'm gonna tell you a few of the things that men have said to me while dating that are the biggest green flags ever. It's right in front of me. We were at dinner and the table behind us had a little bitty baby and the baby started crying and needed a bottle, whatever. This man says, 'Oh, hey, that baby over here, I can totally handle that.' To me, not to the family. He's raised four kids, he gets it. And I was like, 'That's like the sweetest thing ever.' It's not frustrating. He's not angry, he's not rolling his eyes. He was like, 'Oh, give that baby to me, I can handle it.' A guy was telling me a story about when one of his kids was little and got choked up. Literally tears started rolling down his face, thinking about this childhood. Honestly guys, I have no clue what I want. I'm dating, I'm figuring it out. It's fun, but I'm gonna make a conscious effort to see all these sweet green flags while trying to pick out the red ones. I'm dating. I'm figuring it out.
