A man with mother wounds is one of the most dangerous men to build the life with. And it's not because he's beyond healing, but it's because if he refuses to heal those wounds, you're going to pay the price for them. See, a lot of women think that they're dealing with a commitment issue. Sometimes they're dealing with a man who's still trying to heal the relationship that he never had with his mother. And this shows up in ways that a lot of us don't usually recognize. Okay, so for example, he may crave nurturing, but he resent the woman that's given it. He may want unconditional love, but he struggles to offer it back. He expects you to regulate his emotions, you know, suit his insecurities and carry the emotional weight of the relationship. It's like one day you're his safe place and then the next day he pulls away because intimacy feels unfamiliar. And he might also seek constant validation from other women because he's dealing with wounds that no relationship can actually fix. He may become controlling, emotionally unavailable, overly defensive or terrified ofment. See, the problem isn't that he has mother wounds because many of us carry childhood wounds too. See, the danger is when somebody refuses to acknowledge them and starts expecting their partner to become the therapist, their mother or their emotional caretaker. You got to know that healthy love requires two adults. Now one raising the other. See, a healed man takes responsibility of his own healing. Instead of making every woman after his mother pay for what she didn't give him.
