Riding in a Butet saddle #ButetPartner #equestrian #englishriding #englishsaddle #saddle Today I'm gonna ride in my brand new Butet saddle on my horse for the first time. This is literally the nicest saddle I have ever owned in my life. It's the M2 model. I'm excited to see how it rides. I'm no saddle fitting expert by any means, but I like to look at how her shoulders are moving under the saddle, especially for the clearance here. And I know everyone in the comments is a saddle fitting expert, every single one of you. So I'm sure you'll have a comment. I'm getting her back in shape after the breeders, so we're just starting back up with some hill work and some really easy arena work. And this saddle is hands down the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in, and it's brand new. Like I was expecting some sort of break-in period. It's literally a couch. So a Butet rep came out a few days later and looked at the saddle and noticed, honestly, what I noticed, which was of bouncing up off Danica's back. She also didn't have quite enough space at the front of the saddle. So the recommendation was to open up the panel, which will allow the saddle to sit closer onto her back. I was nervous for the rep to come out because what I really didn't want was for a rep to just say, oh, we'll just put a shim here. I was super excited when she said, okay, immediately we're taking the saddle, we're sending it off and we're having it fixed, which I know sounds like the bare minimum, but I'll be honest, that hasn't been my experience in the past. I've been really happy with Butet's attention to detail and their priority of the horse, as well as listening to me as a rider.
