You're telling me for 40 years I've taken her to the garden I could have done this Welcome back to my series Better off the Menu, where I make your takeout favorites even better at home. I know why. Listen, my wife absolutely loves the Alfredo from the garden. It's saying like $18 for like a serving of it there. And we can make it for like less than $2, $2 a serving. I'm liable to jack this all the way up, but she's not home right now. I'm gonna try to get this done. Taste it, make sure it's good before she gets home. And she's super excited. I can throw it away and give her a BLT sandwich or something. All right, first off, 12 cups of water to a bowl. Put in one tablespoon of fine sea salt. And then a whole box of fettuccine. It said in a very large skillet or a heavy pot, you need six tablespoons of unsalted butter, one tablespoon pieces. Once your butter's melted, one teaspoon of onion powder, one teaspoon of garlic powder, quarter teaspoon of salt, quarter teaspoon of pepper. And then when this starts to boil, turn it down to a medium low and let it simmer for one, two, three minutes. Let it thicken up. They said when this is done, you could stick it, pull it out, wipe down the middle, it'll stay clear. So I guess that means it's done. All right, remove this from the heat. And now you want to stir in one to one and a half cups of freshly grated parmesan. Little bit at a time. You need to save one cup of pasta water. Drain these, put them in your sauce along with a half cup of this pasta water. Back on medium heat for like a minute or two. You want to toss this around. I mean, this looks and smells absolutely amazing. While I was making that, as my first time, I was a little frantic cuz I had two or three things going on at once, but I think we did it. I just hope it tastes good. This is the special Olive Garden Alfredo that I made for my wife. I know does this make me Italian? That's good. Make this if you like that Alfredo, I know does it make me Oh my goodness.
