PRIDE ISN'T A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Pride isn't a fruit of the spirit. Finding fault finding is the fruit of pride. And the last time I checked, pride was not one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit given to us by God. If you don't know the fruits of the Holy Spirit, let me refresh you. Okay? Let's open our Haven Bible app. The Haven Bible app says that the fruits of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. Thank you. Let me read you something from Romans. You therefore have no excuse, whoever passes judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself. Because you who pass judgment do the same things. That's Romans chapter two verse one. Our enemy, the devil. Yeah. He wants us to be fault finders. Wants us to focus on the shortcomings of others. Basically being blind to our own mistakes, our own faults. That's not very cool. So listen, if you feel like there's nothing wrong with yourself, but you're finding a great deal of faults in others, the devil has one. Like we don't like that. Because you're basically opening doors for him to work in our lives through the lack of love that you have in your heart for others. Matthew chapter seven verse five said, Jesus said, take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. We can and we should pray for others. But we cannot change them. Only God can change people. We can also pray and work with the Holy Spirit within ourselves to make positive changes in our lives. If we don't spend all of our time and energy focused on what other people are doing wrong. So instead, we should choose to build others up and help make them feel good about themselves. The next time you feel ready to insult someone or thinking a mean thought, challenge yourself to go up and give them a compliment instead. Then we will be joyful. Try it. Try it. It works. Then we will reap a harvest of good things in our own lives. Jesus loves you. I'll see you soon.
