if I were planning my wedding again and wanted to find a unique way to include the guests, this is 100% something I would do over again. We just finally got our full gallery back from our wedding, so I've been reminiscing and this is one thing that the guests talked about all night and still continue to pull me aside when they see me in person about how they just absolutely loved it. I've been pulled aside from people that weren't there that were like, I heard about this and it was so cool. So I need to show you guys. I can't take credit for it. I actually saw this happen at my friend's wedding last fall and I've seen it on TikTok TikTok before. Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you're doing it. I just figured I would share. So when everyone RSVP'd for the wedding, I used the knot and you know, you can add extra questions. So I added the question, what was your first dance song? Title and artist. So I had everybody fill out if they were married, what their first dance song was, title and artist. And then I put together the chorus of each song into a file and delivered it to our DJ. I don't know if there's an easier way to do this. My DJ just said that was probably the easiest way. The wedding I went to last fall had like the dual pianos. So there was probably easier because they know all the songs. But for me, I had to collect all the songs, I put them in order of the tables that everyone was sitting at. And then I would grab like the chorus of each song so people kind of knew what it was. And then before dinner, we did buffet style, so I announced that they were going to be our entertainment for the night. So I started with our parents' tables so they could kind of like demo what it was going to look like. And then I played about 45 seconds of everyone's first dance song and while they were waiting to get called up, it just went table by table. They would go up and dance to their first dance song. And it was so cool because we got to kind of like live little pieces of like people's weddings that maybe we weren't at or people who we've recently met or people that are older than us. And it's really fun to see like the different song styles and things like that. And like some people remembered their dances, which was so cool. I don't know if Danny and I will ever remember ours. But you got to kind of like get that little glimpse into it. It gives people something to do while they're waiting to get called up for dinner, rather than just kind of like sitting around and making like awkward small talk with their table. It just provided some sort of entertainment and included the guests and made them feel very loved and appreciated. It's possible without the people that were there. And I wanted to find a unique way to include them and make them feel loved and appreciated at the wedding. So that was something 100% I would a million times do. Let me know if you have any questions on how to put that file together. That's a whole another thing. But Danny and I had so much fun putting that together.
