So why not build my own coffee table? After grabbing all of my supplies from Lowe's, I headed home and really got down to business. Step 1: Sand tabletop Step 2: Apply 1-2 coats of primer I started off by sanding down the wood of the tabletop and then I primed it, waited for it to dry before I started painting. I did one coat of primer and two coats of paint for each of the pieces. Step 3: Apply 1-2 coats of paint (Paint: Parlour Taupe) I added the glue and we let it dry for 24 hours. Step 4: Apply Construction Adhesive (Let dry for 24hrs.)
