It's currently 10 o'clock PM and my husband requested a late night sweet treat. Let's make him one. Preheat your oven to 350. You're gonna need a baking dish about this size. And we're gonna start with one stick of butter. I'm using unsalted, but you can use whatever you like. We're gonna pop this in the oven and let it melt while we make our batter mix. You're gonna need two bowls. One for your peaches, can you guess what we're making yet? If you are using canned or jarred peaches, you want one with syrup and one without. I drained one of the jars. And in this bowl, we're gonna go ahead and make our batter. Starting with one cup of flour. I'm gonna do half white and half brown for dimension of flavor. And a little bit of brown sugar. Not a lot. Two teaspoons of baking powder. And 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt. And some ground cinnamon. Also put a little bit in our peaches. About that much. Go ahead and mix all your dry ingredients together. One cup of milk. And one teaspoon of vanilla bean paste. Mmm, that smells so good. Go ahead and mix this together. Y'all look at me. I'm a baker. I'm a whole baker. Look at me. Give this a good mix until everything's well combined. Y'all didn't see that. Give this a good mix. And these are the good peaches from Costco. Melted butter. Peaches. And then batter. And then batter. Don't mix. Make sure you evenly distribute. We want that batter everywhere. Pop this in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes until she's done. Y'all, I ended up cooking this for an hour and then in the oven. Beautiful. Beautiful. It's gotta be Blue Bell. Homemade vanilla. And voila. Homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Let's go give it to the hubby. Honey. I know you didn't fall asleep. Really good. Thank you, baby.
